The Expanse

The Expanse is definitely my front runner for show of the 2015-2016 viewing seasons. Jessica Jones Is definitely up there, but The Expanse’s dystopian vision of the future definitely has my attention.

It probably shouldn’t come as a surprise either. It definitely bears a genetic relationship to Battlestar Galactica, though everything about the production and the pacing has matured. The 10-epsiode first season had none of the filler that plagued BSG.

I haven’t read the books that this series is based upon, but I really enjoy the tension between the Earth-moon/Mars/Belt political factions. That there is a mysterious fourth player at this party definitely has me burrowing into the conspiracy theory aspects of this series.

Too bad the first season was only 10 episodes, but it is definitely something I am looking forward to seeing come back next year.
